Sole designer, with a business analyst, a tech lead and the developers

Problem

Store operations (purchasing, inventory, stock corrections, shelf labelling) scattered across spreadsheets and disconnected tools.

Approach

Unified six workflows into one task model (List → Details → Execution), built the design system under it, and iterated with real supermarket users across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

Outcome

50% faster inventory task execution, fewer stock-correction errors, and the visual benchmark for Datamaster's ERP suite.

TRACK RECORD

My Experience

The same history as my CV, with more detail on each role.

- Founded an independent product design studio for B2B and enterprise software. Datamaster Analytics is its first client.

- Led the Iksir design system for Datamaster's web and mobile products, working with a second designer whose work I reviewed.

- Three-layer tokens and support for Arabic (RTL), English and French. V1 shipped with 1,033 variables, 24 components and a documentation site that non-designers use.

Product Designer Dec 2024 - Present

Only designer on a growing ERP platform, working daily with business analysts, tech leads and developers.

- Designed five core ERP modules: B2B Sales, Purchase, POS, Finance and Accounting. The B2B Sales module is now on its 9th major revision with the dev team.

- Designed Task Master, a task app for supermarket staff on mobile, tablet and desktop, over two iterations. It is in production, and usability tests with real staff showed inventory tasks taking about half the time.

- Leading an information architecture restructure of the whole platform ahead of a full redesign.

- Since February 2026 the design system work (Iksir) runs through Nawat Studio, listed above. My direct work on the ERP modules continues.

UI/UX Designer Sep 2024 - Nov 2024

Started on the company's mobile product, then moved to Product Designer after three months.

- Designed the first iteration of the task app for retail store teams, shipped to production.

Product Design UX Research

Worked with a Dubai-based agency on a range of client projects across multiple industries.

- Designed the Super Admin, Admin, and Teacher dashboards for a multi-role e-learning platform, course management, content creation flows, and student progress tracking.

- Redesigned a real estate platform, property listings, search and filter systems, and agent dashboard.

- Designed a case management system for a charity organization supporting divorced women, sensitive user context requiring clear, accessible flows.

- Delivered multiple landing page designs for various clients.

Product Design UX Research

Conducted a UX audit for the e-commerce platform of a B2B wholesale company (cosmetics and detergents sector).

- Identified usability issues across key user flows and worked directly with the developer to implement improvements on the spot

Product Design UX Research

- Co-founded a volunteer community of tech professionals, designed a system for a nonprofit Quran clubs management platform and a website for a historic cultural establishment.

- Coordinating team projects and managing community growth.
